Stamp man July ATC swap

Here are the other ATCs I completed yesterday for the ATC swap over at The stamp Man. The theme was wings and you had to make 3 cards so here they are...

The first card used distreess ink on white card for the background. the stamp is from Tim holtz. the butterflies are Also from Tim and are stamped in each colour then cut and layered. Once the edge is torn this card is layed on a plain ATC card from 7 Gypsies which has been inked on one side with stormy sky and black soot distress ink. Lastly I added the white dots using Smooch ink.

The second card has a distress inked background using dusty concord, tumbled glass and stormy sky. the stamped used is from Stamptivity and stamped using stazon black. The bricks are done using lake mist dabber as a base and Blonde Moments paint base mixed with stormy sky distress ink. I cut a small rectangle from cut and dry foam and used it to stamp the bricks. The gold trim is from Smooch.

The third card is inked using old paper, stormy sky and brushed corduroy distress inks. the writing is from Wikapedia as is the large owl picture. The 2 smaller darker owls are from a napkin I received as part of a gift package. They were added using Blond Moments clear paint base. Once dry I stamped the branches from tim holtz stamps and added the moon using Smooch pearl and gold inks.

What a nice surprise! -Posted by Angela -UK

The other day I received this nice little package in the mail and we all like getting little surprises right? It was from Hope over at Pixie's Ponderings just as a thankyou for following her blog! Now how nice is that! It was a neat little napkin with all kinds of birds(this will be great with some of my projects) and a nice little tag card. Thank you Hope !

I also got a nice little surprise at school from one of the teachers I work with at school. For those that don't know I volunteer a few days a week at the local village school with the infants class (pre-1st grade in USA terms) Now all three of these grades are in one classroom and the teacher has to have multiple lesson plans for all the grades. I give the teachers alot of credit because it is very hard work. I really enjoy helping out in there and last week I happened to be needed there all week long. The teacher gave me this wonderful little bug box as a thank you for helping. Now it was a bug box for a reason. That week on Friday we went out to the nature area and studied what animals live in that environment(mostly bugs), hence the lady bug.

So as you can see I have been blessed with alot of kindness this week and in return for that my Sister and I would like to give out a little kindness. So if you leave us a comment we will enter your name in a drawing for a nice little surprise! Just as a thank you for being kind! We will draw the winner on July 1! Hope you have a wonderful week. For this one I used Misc Bo-Bunny papers and stamped Close to my heart flowers. I cut and layered the flowers and added button centers and a little lady bug charm. the lace and ribbon are from my stash.
This ATC Card is for the Craft Den May ATC Challenge - Flowers and for the Totally Papercrafts Photo Challenge(photo below)

School Project- april 2010-post from Cathy

Here is my new design team project for April. I was given these school themed papers from the paper company. i loved the papers and found them extremely easy to work with because they coordinated so well. I used a metal lunch box style like tin that I have had for some time- not really sure who makes it. I covered it with quickutz brown vinyl. I cut the letters out of thin sheets of metal through the quickutz. Inside is all the pages labeled pre (preschool) through 12. some have pockets some do not but more pages can be added along the way. Hope you enjoy :)
